Lata-Liana Residence is made up of 2 fantastic villas that sit side by side in a private laneway.
The villas are well serviced by an international standard kitchen with 3 chefs and Four Seasons trained Butlers.
There is a five bedroom villa on 1,100 m2 of land and a two bedroom villa that is great for families with a lumbung that can sleep up to 6 kids.
The Villa residence is extremely family friendly with loads of facilities to suit kids of all ages and tailor made meals on request.
Lata-Liana Two bedroom is a delightfully private, spacious and elegant two-bedroom villa, complete with 15-metre free-form swimming pool and set within a very pretty garden.

The property is bounded by Lata- Liana’s namesake tall trees and signature limestone walls, composed of random shaped rocks, which have been pieced together like a jigsaw puzzle.

The villa’s modern design celebrates tradition, comfort, and twenty-first century lifestyle embellished with a creative flourish. Here, guests can enjoy custom-made furnishings crafted from the century-old recycled timbers of an Indonesian phinisi sailing boat, high-tech amenities, top quality fixtures and fittings, and yielding sofas and beds.

The beauty of Lata-Liana two bedroom is that it presents two completely independent buildings, allowing
adults and children to truly escape from one another.
One is a single-storey ‘longhouse’ – perfect for a couple – with a glamorous bedroom and bathroom complemented by a hugely spacious living and dining room incorporating a kitchen.
The other building sleeps up to four people and is modelled on a two-storey lumbung (traditional Indonesian rice barn), specifically designed for youngsters and/or teenagers and offering all the independence and
amenities that they could possibly wish for.
Alternatively, the Lumbung can be enjoyed by two adults, or by a family of up to four.

The sophistication of Lata-Liana spills across into the superb gourmet cuisine prepared and cooked by three excellent chefs and the 24-hour, Four Seasons Hotel-trained butlers.

The 5 bedroom villa comprises four clusters of single-storey buildings linked by covered walkways,
terraces, ornamental ponds and secret gardens, offering private spaces that guests can
escape to, or social areas for dining, relaxing and recreation.

Characterised by white pillars, ironwood shingle roofs, sliding glass doors with teakwood frames, and a swimming pool that meanders through the centre of the flat velvety lawn, Lataliana oozes sophistication and contemporary charm harmonised with artistic flair, a touch of local history and more than a
nod to Balinese Hindu culture.

The villa’s sophistication spills across into the superb gourmet cuisine prepared and cooked by three excellent chefs, and the 24-hour, ‘Four Seasons’-trained butler service.

This is an ideal Villa for a group of friends or a large family group.

Features- 2 bedroom Villa
Villa Overview
Lata Liana II’s main single-storey building stretches the full length of the garden like a Bornean longhouse, comprising the master bedroom with its ensuite bathroom, and an expansive open-plan living and dining room with a kitchenette at one end.
On the opposite side of the pool is a stand-alone two-storey building constructed in the architectural style of a traditional lumbung or rice granary with a distinctive bonnet-shaped roof.

On the upper floor is a large bedroom, while the ground floor presents a tiny kitchenette and an indoor-outdoor bathroom. Built into the lumbung, sheltered by a roof and overlooking the pool, is an elevated, open-sided relaxation space.

Bedrooms
Master Bedroom
The spacious air-conditioned master bedroom has a non-slip acid marble floor and bay shaped French windows that fold open to the swimming pool.

Equipped with a satellite-channel TV, Blu-ray disc player, iPod dock and ceiling fan, the room is furnished with a king-size bed, reading lamps, and cabinets crafted from the recycled wood of an old Phinisi schooner.

The ceiling is fitted with runners that support an innovative retractable mosquito net, which forms a curtain around the bed.

The large en-suite bathroom is light and airy, featuring a non-slip floor, twin washbasins, hanging and storage space, a freestanding bathtub for two, and a walk-in rain shower and toilet in separate cubicles, both of which open on one side to the fresh air.

Lumbung Family room sleeps 6

Designed with children or teenagers in mind (but equally suitable for a family happy to share their space), the Lumbung offers a fully air-conditioned, two-level bedroom that can comfortably accommodate six.

Here, a king-size bed converts to a pair of twins, a double bed reminiscent of a ship’s berth is built into the wall, and two sofas (one of which provides two single mattresses) are positioned on a mezzanine accessed via a solid wooden ladder.

The bedroom’s timber floor extends through sliding glass doors onto a wooden balcony overlooking the garden and pool and framed by the bonnet shaped roof.

The bedroom is equipped with a satellite-channel TV, Blu-ray disc player, iPod dock and ceiling fan.

The bathroom is located downstairs and fitted with a single washbasin and toilet, a non-s lip floor, a unit with hanging and storage space, and a funky wall mirror that literally makes a splash with its water-splatter design.

Glass doors lead to a pebble floored private courtyard with an open-air rain shower featuring a terrazzo splashback in the shape of a surfboard. A tiny kitchenette on the ground floor is equipped with a fridge and sink.

Living/Dining and the Kitchen
Living and dining room
The main room is open-plan with air-conditioning, ceiling fans, and a non-slip floor throughout, yet it features two distinct areas: the living room under a high pitched roof with a skylight and glass doors front and back, and the dining room and kitchenette under a flat roof.

The living space is furnished with huge and exceptionally comfortable sofa-style daybeds with deep cushions, a coffee table, satellite channel TV, Blu-ray disc player and iPod dock.

The dining area is furnished with a square table for eight.

Adjacent to this, the kitchenette is built into the end wall and fitted with a marble worktop and a two-burner gas hob. It is equipped with a fridge, Nespresso coffee machine, and cupboards filled with quality
glassware and crockery.

This kitchenette is for guest use while Lata Liana’s superb cuisine is prepared in the enclave’s professional kitchen, which is the domain of the chefs.

Sliding glass doors from the living area open onto the timber pool deck, which is partially sheltered by a pergola roof. Another set of glass doors beside the kitchen area open to a pretty patio with just enough space for a circular table and two chairs guarded by an ancient frangipani tree.

Kitchen
The villa’s commercial kitchen, professionally equipped with stainless steel appliances, is conveniently situated behind the dining pavilion and is the domain of Lata Liana’s three chefs. In addition, a small kitchenette for guest use is positioned next to the bedrooms towards the back of the property, and
equipped with a kettle, coffee maker, toaster and fridge.

Dining
Food and beverage System
The villa offers a fixed price menu and a comprehensive list of wines, premium spirits, cocktails, mocktails, fresh juices and soft drinks. This makes meal ordering easy, but should guests require items that are not on the menu, the food and beverages manager, will be happy to accommodate any special requests or special diets. Dishes and drinks not listed on the menu are provided on a ‘cost’ basis with a 20 percent mark-up to cover the grocery shopping service. If guests require anything that is not on the menu they should notify the staff the evening before or over breakfast to allow for the shopping to be done in a timely fashion during the day.

The menu
Lataliana’s extensive and impressive menu lists à la carte and set breakfasts, plus a wide choice of soups, salads, ‘bites’, sandwiches and burgers, pasta dishes, pizzas, chicken and meat dishes, and desserts. Highly recommended international dishes include surf ‘n turf, grilled chicken kebab, snacks such as chicken quesadilla and zucchini fritters, and the chef’s sinful chocolate fondue cake. Romantic dinners for two can be accommodated with all the accoutrements of love, and there’s also a choice of four set dinners plus three set lunches for four guests (these need to be ordered one day in advance).

A stay at Lataliana presents a good opportunity to try some of Bali’s local fresh fish and seafood dishes as well as Indonesian favourites such as Nasi Goreng (fried rice), Indonesia’s famous beef curry known as rendang daging, or Pepes Ikan, which is minced fish baked in banana leaves. The chef can, of course, adjust the seasoning of the dishes to suit different palates.

Media and Entertainment
There is a sound system in the living room and of course WIFI. Each bedroom has Satellite TV and dvd systems and the Lumbung room has also many activities to keep the kids happy.

Swimming Pool, Gardens and Pool Bale
The 15-metre free-form swimming pool curves across the flat lawn, bordering both the lumbung and main house with steps on either side.

The garden is filled with shrubs and colourful bougainvillea, parlour palms, lipstick palms and travellers’ palms, two gnarled and ancient frangipanis, a butterfly tree and one of the tall, mature trees from the villa takes its name.

Sheltered underneath the balcony of the Lumbung is a large open-sided relaxation space filled with mattresses and cushions. A barbecue is also provided.

5 bedroom Villa Features
Villa Overview
The entrance to Lataliana I brings guests through a covered walkway into an open-sided
dining pavilion which forms the hub of the villa and is positioned to one side of the feature
swimming pool. At the top end of the pool is the joglo balé pavilion, behind which two
separate entrances lead to the two very private self-contained guest suites.

At the far end of the pool is a wide building housing one of the master bedrooms, the living room and the TV room.

Beyond here, linked by a walkway and separated by ornamental ponds are two more
bedrooms – one of which is the second master – and a kitchenette.

The main service kitchenis situated out of sight at the back of the dining pavilion, while another unique thatched gazebo beckons from the opposite side of the pool.

Bedrooms
All five of Lataliana’s bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fans, satellite channel TVs and Blu-ray disc players.

Each has its own unique character or colour scheme – ranging from gold to pink to turquoise – and each is elegantly furnished with beds, cabinets, and chests fashioned from the recycled wood of a traditional sailing boat.

Four bedrooms feature king-size beds (two of which can be converted to twins) while the smallest bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed.

The two master bedrooms have retractable mosquito nets around their beds. All five en-suite bathrooms are remarkably spacious; finished with non-slip acid marble floors, and fitted with twin washbasins, soaking tubs, and monsoon showers that are opento the sky in private walled courtyards or gardens.

Even the old ship’s rum barrels have been used to create the vanity units in one of the bathrooms.

Living/Dining and the Kitchen
Living Room
The large living room has glass doors at both the front and the back that can be opened for cross ventilation or closed for air-conditioned comfort (ceiling fans are also an option). This elegant room is furnished with a baby grand piano, an Oriental rug, and segmented sofas and modern daybeds big
enough to accommodate ten people. Soaring above the terrazzo floor is a pitched roof with a skylight at its pinnacle which channels sunlight or moonlight into the room and highlights a spectacular chandelier reminiscent of a bunch of gold ribbons.

The gold theme is carried through to a fountain ornamenting the pond that lies just beyond this room. The living room is perfect for entertaining as it opens to a broad covered terrace running the length of the building, just a step or two above the pool deck.

Dining Pavilion

Dining
Open on three sides to the pool deck, the dining pavilion features a terrazzo floor and stone pillars supporting a vaulted wood-lined roof.

Cooled by natural breezes and four ceiling fans, it is furnished with a solid wood table seating 16 and a sideboard.

A guest wash room also leads off the dining pavilion, and to one side is a pond which carries the sound of water in motion as it cascades over a traditional wooden mortar that was originally used for threshing rice.

Media and Entertainment

The TV Room Connected to the living room is an air-conditioned home theatre room with Bose surround sound and a 51-inch flat-screen satellite-channel TV and Bluray disc player, complemented by a library of 1000 DVDs. The room is furnished with three comfortable sofas, two of which are customised chaise lounges, each big enough for two, plus a large daybed-type-sofa big enough for at least four, all are crafted from the recycled wood of an old Phinisi boat.
Fitted shelves on one wall are filled with books while glass doors open to the covered terrace at the front.
If this is not enough there is a Baby Grand Piano in the Living room and all bedrooms have satellite channel TVs and Blu-ray disc players.

Swimming Pool, Gardens and Pool Bale
The 25-metre free-form swimming pool features comfortable lounging shelves at two ends and a bubbling water feature crafted from an old millstone.

Three ancient frangipani trees have been transplanted around the pool deck, together with a unique relaxation gazebo–actually a traditional, Indonesian, grass-roofed cowshed, which presents an unusual twist on the more-familiar form of Balé pavilion.

At the head of the pool, presiding over the garden is a second Balé, featuring the ornately-carved core of an antique timber Joglo building from Java, complete with a typical trapezium-shaped roof.

This multipurpose structure can be used as a wedding pavilion, a bar area with a portable bar, or a dining venue with a removable awning that extends to the four corners of the raised deck.

To one side of this is a gamelan of smiling musicians depicted in white stone.

Residence Facilities

Spa Service
Guests at Lataliana can enjoy a full spa menu of Balinese massage, body scrubs, facials, manicures and pedicures administered by professional therapists at the on-site spa. The spa also offers a far-infrared sauna. This totally safe concept in saunas works by emitting infrared radiation similar to the heat from the sun, only without the harmful ultraviolet rays. The advantage of the infrared radiation is that it heats the skin directly without warming the air, resulting in deeper tissue penetration.

Events
Lataliana is the perfect venue for a wedding or a celebration shared with family and friends.
If you are planning a wedding, all of the arrangements, from the celebrant and wedding
ceremony legalities, to in-villa catering, hair and make up, decoration, flowers, photography
and entertainment, can be taken care of on your behalf please contact us on info@privatevillasandhouses.com
